What a fantastic course! I have thoroughly enjoyed the course from start to finish and found the content really engaging and interesting. Whilst I am not a vet, I felt completing the course was a must as a dog owner and I would strongly recommend any dog owners out there to complete the course as it can obviously help in an emergency but also to the day to day care and activity with your dog. My line of work is PE Teaching and from an education point of view, it is broken down into chunks of learning, with reading, key information, pictures, diagrams and videos support different types of learning. It is certainly accessible in terms of time and pace, given that it allows you to leave whenever your concentration has gone and access it at another time. There are many opportunities for further learning and development too. In society, I think there’s a lot of focus (and rightly so) on human first aid but there needs to be more for dog and animal first aid. So, don’t hesitate and build your skills and knowledge in order to be able to best support your dog and other dogs.

I found this course incredibly valuable, particularly in how it bridges theory with real-world application. The modules on learning theory, emotional state, and behaviour analysis were especially helpful, as they provided a clear framework for understanding why dogs behave the way they do, rather than just how to “fix” things.
The content was well structured and easy to follow, with a pace that allowed time to properly absorb each topic. I appreciated how the course built progressively, reinforcing key concepts like thresholds, desensitisation, and counterconditioning. It made complex subjects feel accessible without oversimplifying them.
What stood out most was the emphasis on looking at the whole picture — including physiology, environment, and handler influence — rather than focusing solely on behaviour in isolation. This has already changed how I approach both training and problem-solving.
I run a dog care and training business, working with a range of dogs including those with behavioural challenges, and this course has given me more confidence in analysing cases and structuring effective behaviour modification plans. It has also helped me better explain behaviour to clients in a way that makes sense to them.
I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone working with dogs, or even owners who want a deeper understanding of their dog’s behaviour. It provides a solid foundation while encouraging further learning, which is essential in this field.

I enjoyed how the course explained feline behaviour in a clear and practical way, especially fear, anxiety, and stress. It helped me better understand cats and improved my confidence when advising clients.
