Mentoring Power Hour with Caroline

Personalised one-to-one coaching for aspiring and practising canine and feline behaviour professionals, in a single focused hour.
1 CPD hours record included
60 minutes
One to one Live on Zoom

Whether you’re just starting out in companion animal behaviour, refining your clinical skills, working towards ABTC recognition or looking to add behaviour support to your dog training services, this focused Zoom session is an hour of expert, practical guidance, spent entirely on what you bring to it.

Bring current cases, business questions, confidence concerns or professional development goals. Together we’ll work out a realistic learning pathway that fits your experience, ambitions and circumstances.

This is not generic training. You’ll work privately with Caroline, an ABTC registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist with a busy behaviour referral practice, in a welcoming, confidential space where you can ask questions, explore ideas and receive clear, constructive feedback.

It works well alongside level 5 and 6 study, turning what you are learning into what you actually do in front of a client.

Sessions are offered on a limited basis, so that Caroline can give you her full attention.

Information:

This session is for people who work with animals. If you are looking for help with your own pet, what you need is a behaviour consultation. Your own vet can arrange that referral, and it is the right place to start.

What you will get out of it:

  • Another pair of eyes on a current case, and a clearer view of your own next move
  • Help with difficult conversations, whether that is with a client, a vet or a colleague
  • Help with where to find the papers behind the advice and how to read them, so you can help clients
  • Honest feedback on where you are now, and what is realistic from here
  • Help shaping a development plan that fits your circumstances, so you finish the hour clear on your next steps
  • Confidence in your own decision making

What's included

  • Sixty minutes one-to-one with Caroline on Zoom
  • A private, confidential space to talk openly about your work
  • A recording of your session, yours for a year
  • A CPD record for your professional portfolio, with space for your own reflection

Who this is for:

  • Students partway through a course who want to talk something through
  • Trainers thinking about adding behaviour support to their existing services and wanting to talk it over first
  • Veterinary teams wanting practical support for the team, or thinking about an in-house behaviour clinic
  • Practising behaviour counsellors who would value another view on a case
  • Anyone weighing up the routes to ABTC recognition, with someone who has been through it

What happens when you book:

  1. When you bookYou’ll be asked three short questions. Caroline opens your answers with you at the start, so the hour goes where you want it rather than on introductions. If you’d like to discuss a case, have your notes, history forms or video open on screen ready to share. Do take client and veterinary details off anything you show.
  2. On the dayA Zoom link is created automatically and sent with your confirmation, and you’ll get a reminder 24 hours before. You choose how to use the time: one case in depth, or a run through several shorter questions. Everything happens live in the hour.
  3. AfterwardsYour recording is available from the Bookings area of your account and stays there for a year. You can download a CPD record for your portfolio, with space to add your own reflection. If there is more you want to cover, you can book another hour whenever it suits you.

Who you will be talking to:

Want to go further than an hour?

If you would rather have that support over months instead of an hour, the mentorship programmes give you structured supervision, case study feedback and a CPD accredited diploma-level certificate at the end.
