How do I renew my first aid certificate?
For our canine and feline first aid courses, we recommend renewing your certification every three years. This is because first aid procedures and best practices are continually updated through new research.
How to renew:
- Log into your account and visit your ‘My Courses’ page, you’ll find the renew button here.
- Purchase the renewal at a reduced price compared to the original course.
- Your existing course progress will be reset, allowing you to retake the full, up-to-date course content.
- Upon completion, a new certificate will be generated with an updated date.
Why does the course reset?
Because first aid procedures evolve over time, simply re-downloading your old certificate would not reflect your current knowledge. Retaking the course ensures you are fully up to date.
Is renewal mandatory?
Renewal is recommended, not mandatory. However, if you hold an Animal Activities Licence (AAL) or work in a professional capacity where first aid certification is expected, keeping your certificate current demonstrates ongoing competence.
